We're planning the old familiar "Friendly Freo" with the usual obligatory coffee stop (in Fremantle). We'll have the usual Maylands Railway Station start at 7:30 am then hook up at the Narrows. The ride will start from the Narrows Bridge (North Side - where the bike path goes under the freeway bridge) at 8:00 am.
The ride will include sections where riders can choose a tougher or faster section and we'll continue trialling the Group Riding guidelines. Don't forget to let the ride organiser know if you're joining the ride.

This week's ride will be an easy Pt Walter ride with the usual starts (Maylands and Narrows South) and coffee stop on the way back in Ardross (most likely Sensations on Ardross).

Group Ride guidelines - for discussion
In recent weeks we've had larger numbers of riders in the Ride_Group rides and we've ended up with some fairly big splits in the group... all too often leaving riders behind.
It has been suggested that we consider introducing some "Group Ride Guidelines". I think it is important that these have some discussion so we introduce the right guidelines for the right reason:
(3) The pace of the group will depend on the riders present.
(4) The ride leader will also set the route. If you're not familiar with today's route, don't take the lead.
(5) Reminder that the rides are not a race. Relax and enjoy the ride.

The intent isn't to make the rides too tame and I think we might need to provide opportunity for sprints on agreed sections for those who look to "clear the cobwebs" from time to time.
